In Bobcaygeon, Ontario, these homeowners called Clarke Basement Systems regarding water in their basement. Our System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, arrived at the home to investigate the situation. He noticed that one wall was inviting outside water into the basement. The worry the homeowners had was that they wanted to renovate the basement finally, and with the constant water intrusion, they wanted their newly laid out materials to be safe. Chris recommended two products that will keep the water at bay and conduct it to the existing pump system, which will then make its way outside the home. Product one is our CleanSpace® wall membrane that essentially stops water from entering the basement and runs it behind to the footing. The second product was our WaterGuard® perimeter drainage system, which gathers all the water and directs it to the sump pump, which later discharges it from the home. The homeowners were so thrilled about Chris finding a solution that they went through with the installation. Our Installation Foreman, Dave Jackson, and Specialist, Bryan Richards, came to install the products. The results were immaculate, and the homeowners could now start their wanted renovations.

As we grow older, our wants and needs inevitably change. We're over the whole homeownership thing and ready for something a little slower-paced with less maintenance.

In Buckhorn, Ontario, a retirement home manager reached out to Clarke Basement Systems after noticing the building's crawl space's humidity was excessive. He was concerned about the resident's health above, so after hearing about the solution System Design Specialist Ryan Hanlon recommended, he was eager to go ahead with the repair.

Foreman Lucio Flores and Installation Specialist Russell VanderMeullen started by encapsulating the floor and lower walls with CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier. A SmartSump® Pump was installed to remove water, and an Aprilaire® Dehumidifier was utilized to control the excess humidity levels.

The building manager can breathe a sigh of relief knowing his residents are safe and have a permanent solution.

This customer in North Kawartha requested a free inspection and estimate after dealing with what she described as a musty smell lingering throughout their home for months. Being in the house was not enjoyable, and she wanted a solution to eliminate the odour and dampness. System Design Specialist Chris Luke created a crawl space solution that would make all her concerns disappear and make it more enjoyable to be in her home.

Installation Foreman Jose Martinez began the solution using our CleanSpace® vapour barrier. This membrane encapsulates the crawl space from exterior air and the ground, which was the root of the problem. It also provides a clean, bright finish that makes entering the crawl space a little more pleasant if our customers need to go in to store or check on something. Lastly, we placed a dehumidifier to help eliminate water vapour or high moisture levels until the air quality reaches the desired level. When the crew finished, our customer loved the new look of her crawl space. She could almost immediately tell the difference in the smell/air quality throughout her home within a few hours.

Fast & Affordable Concrete Repair

The sunken and cracked concrete around your Trent Lakes home is both an eyesore and a safety hazard. It is also likely to get worse with time, but we can fix it for you!

Our experts use PolyLevel, a superior polyurethane foam to provide reliable concrete lifting & leveling solutions. Small holes are drilled in the concrete and the expansion of the foam lifts & levels the concrete. The majority of contractors you will call use mudjacking instead of foam. Mudjacking is heavier, requires larger holes in the concrete and does not last as long as PolyLevel.

If your home has cracked concrete steps, pool decks, patios, or other slabs, then NexusPro is the right solution. NexusPro repairs concrete cracks and joints and is ultra-durable, so it will withstand UV rays, extreme weather, and more.

After utilizing our expert concrete repair solutions, consider the powerful concrete sealant, SealantPro. SealantPro further protects your concrete by bonding with it to guard against oil, gasoline, liquids, and other debris. In just one coat, SealantPro extends the life of your concrete by 3 to 5 times overall.

Call us today to learn more about our proven concrete leveling, cracked concrete repair, and concrete sealing techniques. We also offer professional installation of LintelLift to repair and support sagging, cracked garage lintels.

Buckling in Itself, Kinmount ON

This home had major structural issues to the point of it potentially collapsing in itself. Upon renovations to get this house on the market, the homeowners realized that the foundation was buckling upon excavating the perimeter. The contractor used at the job did not have the skill set to complete foundation support and needed a lending hand to help fix this house once and for all. By googling "foundation support", Clarke Basement Systems popped up at the top of their search page. Inquiring about the work needed, we managed to send out Chris Luke, our experienced System Design Specialist, to the home for a detailed analysis. With the peropty already being excavated, Chris knew exactly what would need to be done and how long it will take. After the quote was done it was time to review what products would be needed. He quoted our GeoLock® wall anchor support system, ardour PowerBraces. Our GeoLock® system uses plated that support the inner wall, and a metal rod attached to an anchor in the lawn outside. Once the rod is tightened and the slack is eliminated, the two pieces come closer together and straighten out the wall. As for the PowerBraces, these bad boys run floor to ceiling and essentially keep the wall from caving itself. It is mounted to the floor and the beam above to keep it in place and not move at all. With these materials in check, this house is going to be 100% safe.

Its a Tight Squeeze, Kinmount, ON

This tight crawl space in Kinmount, Ontario needed to be encapsulated ASAP. The crawl space started to smell funny, similar to dirty laundry, which disrupted the owner's breathing air. During hot days, they tend to use a lot of air conditioning to get some sort of cool temperature and vice versa in the colder months. With not that much knowledge of crawl space encapsulations, the owners were very confused as to what was going on. With some research, we came up at the top of their search page with basement encapsulation in Kinmount. We had our experienced System Design Specialist, Chris Luke arrive at the home to take a look at the space. He noticed that it was neglected because it was such a tight squeeze but with Chris' years of experience, it was easy to navigate through and see what was going on. The crawl space was not encapsulated and needed our products to make sure the owners are saving money on heating and cooling bills. Chris recommended our CleanSpace® wall membrane which would keep all the moisture at bay. To insulate the space, our thermal dry membrane would have to be attached to the walls and floor to ensure that it doesn't affect the temperatures of the home. The owners were thrilled with the knowledge Chris brought to the table and would love to pursue business with us.

Crawl Space Needs Structural Support and Encapsulation, Kinmount ON

This crawl space in Kinmount, Ontario, had a crawlspace that brought in unwanted moisture on wet days and had significant structural issues. The humidity in the basement leads to a musty/moldy smell throughout the cottage and really disrupted the owner's everyday breathing air. As for the structural integrity, the beams holding up the living floor were sagging due to age and the moisture in the basement. The cottage owner looked up structural and waterproofing in Kinmount, and we popped up at the top of his search. After inquiring about the crawl space being looked at, our experienced System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, arrived at the home to begin his estimate. He quite literally crawled into the crawl space to see where the smell was coming from and why the floor was sagging. Upon crawling in, he noticed that the beam running across in the living room was cracking from the moisture in the space. The moisture was coming from the area's back corner, inviting water in. After the quote was done, Chris concluded that our Clean Space® would seal up any moisture coming into the space. Then he recommended we use our SmartSump to suck up all the water that would end up in the area and redirect it away from home. As for the beam in the room, we would use our SmartJack® push pier system to lift the beam to its original state. The job would take one full business day to complete, and this crawl space would be structurally improved and dry!

Leaning Basement Walls in Bobcaygeon, OntairoK0M

Bobcaygeon, Ontario, is a beautiful place to live. Have you ever heard of The Tragically Hip? They've made a song about this city. Many homes were willing to sell, but this one, in particular, had a setback that had to be fixed before proceeding with the selling process. Upon renovating, the basement wall on the north side had started to bow. Bowing walls usually occur from soil erosion and age. You run into two risks by leaving this job on the back burner. One is that this can lead to more foundation-related issues such as water impeding any more cracks. Secondly, the home can collapse on itself since all four foundation walls aren't sitting straight. The homeowners were spooked and needed to seek help to aid the wall back to its original state.

By doing minor research on their issue, Clarke Basement Systems popped up at the top of their search page. With years of experience in this field, we can guarantee that our foundation repair method will be the best. We sent out our experienced System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, to the home and did a free inspection. Chris' concluded that the walls need anchors and braces to prop them back straight and keep it that way permanently. One schematic later and a couple of days passing, our Installation duo Dustin Biggs and Trevor Bowman arrived at the home to start the work. They will be using our GeoLock™ anchor system and our PowerBraces. Our GeoLock™ anchors are placed outside but are connected to the inner walls of the basement. The anchor on the outside lawn provides better leverage and can pull the wall straight effectively. Moving on to the PowerBrace's, they stand vertically from floor to ceiling and doesn't allow the wall to push past it. Treat it like a safety net. With Dustin and Trevor combining both systems, they can prop up the wall in no time.
