Water Seepage Solution in Port Perry, ON

A home in Port Perry, Ontario, had water seepage issues on the back wall, a crack on the front wall of the basement and because this was an older home, there also was seepage on the window well.  During the heavy rain, the water would seep through the cracks in the concrete wall. The water seepage caused a wet floor, and the customer couldn’t use the basement space. They wanted to finish their basement and needed to know there would be no more water issues. 

The customer called Clarke Basement Systems to fully waterproof their basement. Chris Luke informed them of all the work that would be done and answered all their questions. Lucio Flores and the team came in and installed  ThermalDry®  Wall Insulation against the concrete wall to direct all water seepage into the WaterGuard® Below-Foor Drain. They placed a new TripleSafe™ Complete Sump Pump System for three levels of protection and two IceGuard® Discharge Line System for protection from harsh weather. They installed a Well duct for window well drainage and put  FlexiSpan® Crack Repair solution on the large crack to seal it. Now the basement can be renovated without wet floors, leaking window well and extra protection.

This basement in Port Perry, Ontario, had an alarming back wall. The homeowners were living in fear of the house potentially collapsing. Port Perry is close to the water, so much of the soil is moist, causing it to shift and expand over time. Expanding earth often pushes into basement walls causing them to warp and cave within themselves. The homeowners wanted to fix this problem once and for all, so they did some research and found Clarke Basement Systems. We sent our System Design Specialist, Chris Luke, to examine the wall in person. He noticed that the wall was in a state that it could cave in, but we have the products that can fix it permanently. He quoted our homeowners and handed off the information to our Installation Specialist, Dave Jackson, who will come to the home later that week. 

Dave arrived at the job site with the products and went straight to work. He only needed our PowerBraces™ to complete the job and less than a business day. After the measurements and the beams were brought into the house, it was time to begin the work. First, Dave installed the lock at the ceiling and propped up the beams to fit between the floor and top. He then drilled the base into the bottom and connected all the joints that would allow him to crack the beam tight against the wall. The work was done effectively in that it did not interrupt the homeowners, and Dave managed to get the job done sooner than scheduled.
